Allison is passionate about using her expertise in a way to bring enlightenment and encouragement to others. She regularly leads education workshops, training seminars and music therapy sessions to audiences who are interested in learning musical therapy best practices and those who want to learn how to play the guitar.
She acts as a guest lecturer and writer for the Country Music Hall of Fame’s “Words and Music Program,” teaching songwriting to Nashville area students, and as an educator in aesthetics with the Tennessee Performing Arts Center’s ArtSmart program. She also participated as the lead vocalist and guitarist for the pre-show Christmas at the Grand Ole Opry.
In addition, she offers rhythm guitar workshops for Board Certified Music Therapists. A regular presenter at the American Music Therapy Association’s regional and national conferences, these workshops focus on using the techniques she teaches in her two books, 8 Easy Right Hand Guitar Styles and 8 Easy Right Hand Guitar Grooves.
